Accessibility Issues List

1. This list itemizes Accessibiliy Issues that the Accessibility Extension explicitly require through displaying messages in Accessibilty Information areas of all the subsections of the Accessibility Extension.
2. Selecting an item in the list, by clicking on the item or using arrow keys, populates data behind the Rationale button.
3. Columns
   • Frequency - the number of times the Accessibility issue is violated in the resource is displayed.
   • Severity
     • Pass is displayed when the Frequency is 0. i.e. the Accessibility issue is not violated.
     • Fail is displayed when the Frequency is not 0. and the Accessibility issue message is classified as a failure message.
     • Warn is displayed when the Frequency is not 0. and the Accessibility issue message is classified as a warning message.
     • ToDo is displayed when the Frequency is not 0. and the Accessibility issue message is classified as a todo message.
   • Message - the message that is displayed in the Accessibility Information area of the related subsection is displayed.
   • Class - the title of the subsection the item is related to is displayed.

Options

• Remove 0 Frequency - This option is initially checked.
  • When this option is checked, those items that have Severity of Pass and hence Frequency of 0 are not displayed in the Accessibility Issues List, only those Accessibility issues that are not properly followed are displayed.
  • When this option is unchecked, items concerning all Accessibility issues are displayed in the Accessibility Issues List, regardless of the Severity and hence the Frequency.

Buttons

• Move To - opens a dialog box of the Class of the item, i.e. the subsection the item is related to.
• Rationale - opens the related section of the iCITA HTML Best Practices Web site in the selected link in a new window or tab as per the user's browser preferences.
• View Summary - opens a new browser window and displays the contents of the dialog box in the new browser window, allowing the user to see/print the entire data set of the result of evaluation.
• Refresh - re-evaluates the resource.
• Data Dump - opens a new broswer window and displays the data the Accessibility Extension gathered from the resource and evaluated, concerning all subsections, during the session, in the new broswer window, allowing the user to see/print the processed data of the evaluated resource.
• Close Window- closes the dialog box.
